The region is known for its fine cuisine. There are plenty of excellent restaurants. Because it can be difficult to get a table at your desired date and time, I like to share my favorite addresses in advance. The photo of each restaurant links to the restaurant's website. I recommend booking the restaurants of your choice in the €€€ and €€€€ categories prior to your arrival in Cadzand.

Within walking distance of the apartment:

Beach Boy Restaurant - €€€€

Located in the harbor of Cadzand, great view over harbor and sea. Modern fine dining

Bistro Beaufort - €€€

Located on top of the dunes. Fish and perhaps the best shrimp croquettes in Cadzand.

Strandpaviljoen De Zeemeeuw - €€

Located on the most beautiful spot on the beach. Menu including tapas, appetizers and meals

A little further away (up to about 3 kilometers):

De Parlevinker - €€

On the market square in Retranchement. Delicious mussels in season. Open until about 19:30 in the evening

Zilt & Zout - €€€

At the bottom of the dike of the Zwin nature reserve. Fruits de mer and fish

A little further away, just across the border in Belgium:

JETT - €€€€

Just across the border in Westkapelle. Gastronomically inventive. Resonably priced lunch menu

The fully equipped kitchen of the apartment has kitchenware, coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. If you want to do some shopping during your stay, I recommend stopping in Oostburg before driving to Cadzand-Bad. There are four large supermarkets in Oostburg:  Albert Heijn, Aldi, Jumbo and Lidl. In Cadzand-Bad you'll find a small Spar supermarket, bakery, traiteur/gourmet shop en fishmonger.
